Planning Board - November 14, 2007 - Unapproved
minutes of meeting
Present:
Joe Feuer (Chairman), Bob Allen
(representative from Selectmen), Lyle Handy, Sr., Bonnie
Hazelton, Mark Lanier, and Michael Puschaver
Absent:
Carla Kirsh
The meeting was called to order at
7:05. The minutes from October10, 2007 were read and unanimously
approved with one correction of the next meeting date, from “November
13” to “November 14.”
Communications Directed to the
Board:

Mr.
Feuer stated that we had been sent a list of labs in the state
offering water testing.

The
board also received a letter from Sean Hathaway regarding the
logging he’s doing on the Robert and Susan Rock property on
Washington Pond Road. They intend to put in a new septic system. Mr.
Hathaway has been working closely with the DES in regard to the
Rules of Shoreline Protection Act.

The board discussed the standard
required for a non-profit business to be eligible for tax exemption.
Mr. Feuer clarified that the business would have to provide a direct
benefit to the town in order to obtain tax exemption status.

A faculty member and students
from Keene State College have offered to come to our next meeting in
order to present information on Wind Power. The board agreed that
there is enough interest in this subject to welcome the
presentation.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30
p.m. The next regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on
Tuesday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m.
