Reports from Committees/Officials:

  • The members of the Capital Improvement Committee who were present reported that they had not received many responses from department heads in town. Mr. Allen reported that the committee may have to develop their own improvement recommendations for some of the departments.

Unfinished Business:

  • None

Other Business:

  • The board discussed the standard required for a non-profit business to be eligible for tax exemption. Mr. Feuer clarified that the business would have to provide a direct benefit to the town in order to obtain tax exemption status.

  • A faculty member and students from Keene State College have offered to come to our next meeting in order to present information on Wind Power. The board agreed that there is enough interest in this subject to welcome the presentation.
