Marlow Planning Board -- September 11, 2007 - Unapproved minutes of meeting

Present: Joe Feuer (Chairman), Bob Allen (representative from Selectmen), Lyle Handy, Sr., Bonnie Hazelton, Mark Lanier, and Michael Puschaver

Absent: Carla Kirsh

The meeting was called to order at 7:15. The minutes from August 14, 2007 were read and unanimously approved with one correction of a typographical error.

Communications Directed to the Board:

None

Reports from Committees/Officials:

• The members of the Capital Improvement Committee who were present reported that they had not received many responses from department heads in town. They intend to contact them individually. Mr. Allen reported that the committee hopes to utilize sample plans from other towns, including Chesterfield, as well as take advantage of help from the Southwest Regional Planning Commission.

• Mr. Lanier described some of the building that’s going on in town -- on Washington Pond Road and on Rte. 123 (Kroka Expeditions). 

• Sean Hathaway of Lost Cloud Logging has approached the selectmen about logging on the Allard property. He was instructed to obtain the proper permits first from DES.

None

Other Business:

• Mr. Allen reminded the board that it may be time to update Marlow’s Master Plan. We discussed the value of beginning that process AFTER the completion of the census and the Capital Improvement Plan.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on Wednesday the 10th, at 7:00 p.m.
