Marlow
Planning Board -- May 9, 2006
Unapproved
minutes of meeting
Present: Ray Despres. Joe Feuer, Lyle Handy, Sr., Bonnie Hazelton, Tony
Previte, and Michael Puschaver
Absent: Carla Kirsh
The meeting was called to
order at 7:05. The minutes from April 11, 2006 were read and unanimously
approved as typed.
Communications Directed
to the Board:
- The Planning Board received a
letter from the New Hampshire Local Government Center which included 2 booklets
from the 2005 Lecture Series -- “Off-Site Exactions and Impact Fees” and
“Ethics for Land Use Board Members.”
- The Planning Board (by way of the
Selectmen) received a letter from Century 21 of Keene requesting information on
a piece of land for sale on Route 123 -- Map 407, Lot 43. The owner wishes to
subdivide the property and there appears to be a discrepancy between the
surveyor’s map and the town map. Mr. Feuer and Mr. Handy agreed to go out to
the property and make some measurements in order to clarify the problem. They
will then give the information to Jacqui Fay, so she can respond to Century 21.
Reports from
Committees/Officials:
- All Planning Board Members were
given copies of the Marlow Land Use Study, developed by Franklin Pierce College
Small Business Advisory Group.
Unfinished Business:
- Mr. Despres, Mr. Feuer, and Mr.
Handy reported that they had visited the proposed site for the concession stand
across from Stone Pond Cottages. They assumed that Mr. Parham-Brown would attend
tonight’s meeting in order to discuss the next step. But he was not present.
Other Business:
- Dr. Arthur Cohen and his wife, Ruth
Cohen, were present to discuss their intent to excavate on a piece of property
owned by Ruth Cohen and Leonard Kapiloff -- Map 412, Lots 44 and 45, off of
Route 10. Excavation will be very limited, nothing seen from the road and the
Cohens and Mr. Kapiloff are the abutting property owners. The board discussed
reclamation plans, voted and approved the request, waiving the requirement for
any bond.
- Mr. Feuer brought up a minor error
he had noticed in the new Marlow Zoning and Ordinance Book.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:37 p.m. The next
regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2006,
at 7:00 p.m.
