Marlow Planning Board - October 12, 2004 / Unapproved minutes of meeting.

Present: Joseph Feuer, Ray Despres, Bonnie Hazelton, Carl McConnell, and Deb Monty 

Absent: Trish Rogan and Deborah Washburn

The meeting was called to order at 7:07. The minutes from September 15, 2004 were read and unanimously approved as typed.

Old Business

The Planning Board reviewed the “Procedures for Obtaining a Building Permit” form -- changes were made to the document to simplify and clarify the process. An effort was made to make it easy to read, and easy to understand, and keep it all on one page.

Mr. McConnell asked how soon we would be getting the new Land Use and Regulation books. Mr. Feuer reported they would be sent to us in November.

New Business

Deb Monty reported that the town is presently very low on the number of available zoning books. We discussed the importance of making any necessary changes and corrections to the books, BEFORE having more printed. Any changes to the actual ordinances will have to be voted on at Town meeting, so we made plans to complete the following steps before March:

• Review all town reports since 1986, to look for changes that the town has voted on over the years  

• Correct the mistakes on the map in the book

• Review the book and determine what changes need to be made

• Ask Tony Davis for the standards (state and/or local) that he utilizes in issuing driveway permits, so that those can be considered for admission into the book

• Ask Victor Reno to review the Health Standard requirements, to make sure that they are accurately offered in the book

• Identify all changes that need to be added to the town warrant for next March, to be voted on by Marlow residents

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.

The next regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at 7:00 p.m.
