Marlow Planning Board -June 8, 2004 / Unapproved minutes of meeting. 

Present: Ray Despres, Joseph Feuer, Bonnie Hazelton, Carl McConnell, Deb Monty, and Trish Rogan.

Absent: Deborah Washburn

The meeting was called to order at 7:05. The minutes from May 11, 2004 were read and unanimously approved as typed.

Old Business

Sarah Henderson was present, to report that the trash and debris had all been removed from their property and work had been done on the intersection of the driveway leading to Lot 2 and the existing Class VI road. Additionally, a state inspector is due to come out this Friday to check on the site of a proposed driveway for the subdivided lots (2 and 3). She asked that the Planning Board reconsider approving the proposed subdivision. The members of the Planning Board scheduled another site visit of the Henderson Property for Friday, June 11, 2004 at 5:00.

New Business

Mr. Despres introduced the subject of driveway permits and guidelines, specifically as they relate to some driveways recently constructed in Marlow. The Planning Board discussed safety issues and land erosion concerns. Since Tony Davis is responsible for issuing Driveway permits, Deb Monty agreed to ask him about the guidelines he follows. And the Board agreed to give special consideration to possible driveway issues, when granting subdivision approvals in the future.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 p.m.

Five members of the Planning Board visited the Henderson property on Friday, June 11, and determined that all the requirements had been met. Sarah Henderson agreed to meet the Chairman and Secretary at the Marlow Town offices on June 14, at which time she produced the written guidelines from the state inspector regarding the proposed driveway. Consequently, Mr. Feuer and Ms. Hazelton signed the subdivision mylar and copies of the maps.

At this time there are no scheduled Planning Board Meetings during the months of July and August, unless by special request of the chairman. The next regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at 7:00 p.m.
