Marlow Planning Board -- April 13, 2004 - Unapproved minutes of meeting. Present: Joseph Feuer, Art Schmid, Bonnie Hazelton, Ray Despres, and Jane MacLachlan Absent: Carl McConnell The meeting was called to order at 7:08 The minutes from February 10, 2004 were read and unanimously approved as corrected -- changing "40-ft. right-of-way" to "40-ft. setback from the edge of right-of-way." Old Business Sarah Henderson was present, joined by Travis Royce and Gil Bailey of Landmark Land Services, LLC, to discuss the proposed subdivision of the property owned by Sarah and Benjamin Henderson (Map 405, Lot 3) on Route 10. The Hendersons wish to subdivide their property into 3 lots. All 3 lots meet the minimum requirements for acreage and road frontage in the R-10 zone. Mrs. Henderson confirmed that she and her husband have removed most of the junk that had been left by the previous owners, in the woods and on the property. She also reported that at this time, the garage on the property is not being used as a business -- it is only being used by a private party to work on his race cars. The Hendersons hope to sell 2 of the lots, and then build on an existing foundation on the subdivided lot labeled "lot 2". Discussion followed; the Board agreed to schedule the required Public Hearing for next month -- May 11 at 7:00 p.m. The secretary was given the list of abutting property owners, and LLC agreed to cover the cost of notification. New Business Rick Bellimer was present to discuss his intention of licensing space in his home (located at Rte 10 and Rte 123A) for a tattooing business. He explained that his ultimate goal is to open his own tattoo shop (probably in Claremont or Newport) but until he’s able to do that, he wants to keep his state license valid, by licensing space in his home to tattoo on a limited basis. He has the space in his home, with a separate entrance, and no plans for signs outside, at this time. He brought a copy of the state licensing regulations and application, which require signatures of the town Building Inspector, Health Officer, and Fire Warden. Mr. Feuer agreed to inspect the site, in his role as Building and Zoning Agent. Beginning next month, Deb Monty will join the Marlow Planning Board as the ex-officio member from the Marlow Selectmen. Jane MacLachlan announced that this would be her last meeting, as she will no longer be a property owner, or resident of Marlow. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Marlow Planning Board will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, immediately following the Henderson Subdivision Public Hearing, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Submitted by |
