The Board of Trustees for the Marlow Town Library met on March 5, 2007 at 7 PM. 

Present at the Library were: Jeanne Kennedy, Chair; Donna Chase, Treasurer; Jan Lane, Secretary; and Librarian Pat Strickland. Absent from the meeting was trustee Alice Scharf.

Secretary’s Report: 

The minutes of the previous meeting, February 5, 2007, were read. Jeanne Kennedy moved that the minutes be accepted into the record without correction or addition. Donna Chase seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report: 

Treasurer Donna Chase reported that the balance in the Business Account is $3,452.51 as of February 28, 2007.

Old Business:

1. Jeanne Kennedy reported that the installation of the newer computer for the Librarian is tentatively scheduled for next week by Art Andreason.

2. Jeanne Kennedy reported on the Budget Meeting with the Selectmen which occurred on February 10, 2007. The Selectmen approved a budget of 21,900.

3. Progress toward obtaining a better vacuum for the cleaning of the Library carpet was placed on hold until all trustees could be present.

New Business:

1. Trustees discussed the openings for Library Trustee positions on the upcoming Town Ballot. Donna Chase’s three-year term expires this year. She will run on the Ballot for the one year term created when Johanna Kent resigned her Trustee position to work as an Assistant Librarian. Jan Lane’s three-year term also expires this year and she will not be running for a third term. Therefore, there will be two three-year terms open to write-in votes.
