The Board of Trustees for the Marlow Town Library met on April 06, 2006, at 7 PM. 

Present at the Library were: Jeanne Kennedy, Chair; Donna Chase, Treasurer; Jan Lane, Secretary; and Librarian Pat Strickland. Absent from the meeting were trustees Johanna Kent, Art Director, and Alice Schraf.

Secretary’s Report:

The minutes of the previous meeting, March 6, 2006, were read. Donna Chase moved, and Jeanne Kennedy seconded the motion, that the minutes be accepted into the record without correction or addition. The motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report: 

Treasurer Donna Chase reported that the balance in the Business (Operating) Fund is: $10, 928.08 as of March 31, 2006.

Old Business:

1. Finalizing the updating the Library’s Policies was tabled until at least four trustees are present at a meeting.

2. Trustees discussed how to set up, work and maintain a computerized inventory of the Library’s assets for insurance purposes.

 New Business:

1. An Election of Officers was tabled. Jan Lane moved, and Jeanne Kennedy seconded the motion, that the election of officers be tabled until at least four trustees are present at a meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

2. Librarian Pat Strickland informed the trustees of the 3rd Annual C.L.I.F. Conference for Rural Librarians. The conference is scheduled for September 8, 2006.
