The Board of
Trustees for the Marlow Town Library met on November 07, 2005, at 7 PM.
Present
at the Library were: Jeanne Kennedy, Chair; Donna Chase, Treasurer; Jan
Lane, Secretary; Jeannie Merwin, Clerk of the Works; Johanna Kent, Art Director,
and Librarian Pat Strickland.
Secretary’s
Report:
The minutes of
the previous meeting (03 Oct 05) were read. Jeanne Kennedy moved, and Donna
Chase seconded the motion, that the minutes be accepted into the record
without correction or addition. Motion carried unanimously.
Treasurer’s
Report:

Treasurer
Donna Chase reported that the balance in the Business (Operating) Fund is:
5,080.426 as of 10/31/05.
Old
Business:
-
Jeanne Kennedy reported that the
copier handed down from the Selectman’s office carries no service contract
whatsoever.
New
Business:
-
Jeannie Merwin
asked if the Library could dispose of the 20 year old Lexicon Encyclopedia
to utilize shelf space. Trustees were in agreement.

Trustees
reviewed and updated the Library Policies and By-Laws. Due to the lateness
of the meeting, the Policy on non-resident fees will be addressed in a
future meeting.
